What’s UP at the Archives – September 2, 2022
Culture Days is a nation-wide celebration of arts and culture now in its 13th year. Similar to the previous two years, the Archives is launching the following NEW online activities.
Friday, September 23rd | 8:00 AM – NEW WEBSITE Launch
The Mission Community Archives is officially launching a newly designed website on September 23rd. It is faster, easier to navigate and more user-friendly. Some of the website’s features include: a blog with up-to-date Archives news, the ability to book a visit to the Archives, a new online store, and integrated social media buttons for Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.
Friday, October 7th | 8:00 AM – MISSION MOMENTS: Historic Dewdney
We are excited to launch a NEW VIDEO SERIES produced by the Mission Community Archives called MISSION MOMENTS. One minute in length, each video highlights a story from the community’s storied past. This premiere video in the series features the origins of Dewdney which is believed was first settled in 1867.
Friday, October 14th | 8:00 AM – MISSION MOMENTS: Mission’s 1953 Derby Part of the NEW VIDEO SERIES produced by the Mission Community Archives called MISSION MOMENTS, this one minute video features the story about the year Mission’s famous Soap Box Derby made Canadian history!
