Paths and Pathfinders Program
The Program | The Exhibit | Honorees Past & Present

In 1996, as part of the International Women's Day celebrations in the community, we inaugurated a program: Paths and Pathfinders: Women of Mission to collect, preserve, and provide access to materials which document the lives and contributions of women, past and present, in the District of Mission, Hatzic Prairie, Hatzic Island, Dewdney, Deroche, Nicomen Island, Lake Errock and McConnell Creek.

A key part of this program is the Annual Celebration of Women which is held in October to acknowledge both the exceptional and every day real life contributions of women to our economic, political, and social history; and to promote awareness, appreciation, and understanding of women's history within our community.
