Paths and Pathfinders Program
The Program | The Exhibit | Honorees Past & Present

In 1996, as part of International Women's Day celebrations in the community, we inaugurated: Paths and Pathfinders: Women of Mission - a program established to preserve, and provide access to materials which document the lives and contributions of women, past and present, in the District of Mission, Hatzic Prairie, Hatzic Island, Dewdney, Deroche, Nicomen Island, Lake Errock and McConnell Creek.

A key part of this program is the Mission of Women Gala (formerly known as the Annual Celebration of Women) which is held in October to acknowledge both the exceptional and every day real life contributions of women. READ MORE

Now in its 23rd year, this year's gala will be held on Saturday, October 27th at the Cedar Valley Mennonite Church Auditorium starting at 1:30PM. School Board Trustee Shelley Carter, businesswoman Tami Klassen, and youth / homeless advocate Ernestine O'Rourke are the 2018 honourees.

At this year's gala there will be a special performance by the Serenata Singers - a widely recognized "community women's choir based in Mission, BC" known for their amazing harmonies and absolutely electrifying "music from across centuries, cultures and genres."
